
High Point GED® & English as a Second Language (ESL) Orientation and Testing
Description
We have a two(2)-day intake process to apply to the College and Career Readiness programs at GTCC; you must:
1. Attend BOTH days of Orientation and Testing. If you miss one, you will start over with Orientation. Attendance is mandatory.
2. Arrive on time. Late arrivals may not be allowed.
3. Bring Identification. Acceptable forms of identification include:
- State-issued ID
- Driver’s License
- Passport
- International ID (when appropriate)
Students Under Age 18: Students who are 16 or 17 years old must complete TWO forms before enrolling in the College and Career Readiness program. Please stop by the front desk to pick up the Minor Release Form before your orientation date.
**The Minor Release Form. The required sections must be completed and signed by both your school and parent/guardian. The parent/guardian section must be notarized.
** Leon's Law Student Acknowledgment Form.
Classes begin on October 19
The class schedule is as follows for in-person Classes:
MORNING
Monday – Thursday | 8:30 A.M. - 10:30 A.M.
Monday – Thursday | 10:45 A.M. - 12:45 P.M.
EVENING
Monday/Wednesday | 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Tuesday/Thursday | 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M.
Online Classes
Depending on eligibility, students may have online learning options available. Online requirements and available options will be discussed during orientation.
