Description
Before You Sign Up
GTCC requires all students to complete a 2-day Orientation and Testing process.
Attend both days
You must attend Day 1 and Day 2. If you miss a day, you will need to register for a new orientation.
Arrive on time
Late arrivals may not be allowed to participate.
Bring a photo ID
Acceptable IDs include:
- Driver's License
- State ID
- Passport
- International ID
- SSN - Social Security Number (if applicable)
Students Ages 16-17
Before enrolling, you must complete:
1. Minor Release Form
- Pick up the form at the front desk before Orientation.
- Your school must complete and sign its section(s).
- A parent or guardian must complete and sign its section.
- The parent/guardian signature must be notarized.
2. Leon's Law Student Acknowledgment Form
- Complete this form before enrollment online

Online Classes
Some students may qualify for online classes. Eligibility and requirements will be explained during Orientation.
Reminder: Attendance on both Orientation days is required to enroll in classes.

Questions & Answers
- Do I have to attend both days?
Yes. Attendance at Orientation and Testing are required. Day 1, you will attend Orientation. Day 2, you will attend Testing.
- What if I miss a day?
If you miss Orientation, you must reschedule both the Orientation and Testing date.
If you miss Testing, you may reschedule only the test.
- How old do you have to be to enter the program?
ESOL learners must be at least 18 years old to apply for the program.
- When do classes start?
- Fall Session 2: October 19 - December 11
- Spring Session 1: January 11 - March 5
- Spring Session 2: March 8 - May 7
- Summer Session 1: May 7 - June 30
- Summer Session 2: July 6 - August 13
- What time are classes?

- How do I know what classes I have?
After testing, if you choose to attend the Multilevel class, you can begin the day after testing.
If you choose to wait until the next session starts, you will receive a text and an email with your schedule the week before classes begin. It will include your instructor's name, room number, and class days.
