Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) is launching two new K-12 educator preparation programs in Fall 2025.
Elementary Education Residency Licensure Certificate Program
With a focus on learning theory, education technology, and school policies and procedures, GTCC's Cultivating Carolina Classrooms elementary education residency licensure certificate program prepares you for high-demand teaching jobs in public schools. Additional requirements, such as pre-service training, passing the state-required assessments, and the criteria included in the North Carolina Teacher Evaluation System, are required for licensure.
High School Adjunct Instructor Certificate Program
GTCC’s high school adjunct instructor program will prepare you to teach core academic subjects, fine and performing arts, or foreign languages in your area of specialized knowledge or experience. Program completers will be eligible to be an adjunct instructor in a NC public high school (does not lead to licensure).
