Girls in Gear: Hands-On Career Exploration at GTCC

Girls in Gear is a free, hands-on career exploration event for ninth- through 12th-grade girls and their parents or guardians.

• Information technology

• HVAC

• Other technical fields

🌟 During the event, participants can:

• Try interactive, hands-on activities

• Tour GTCC’s technical labs

• Meet women working in technical careers

• Connect with local employers

• Learn about GTCC programs and Career and College Promise

• Explore paid apprenticeships, NC FAME, and other pathways connecting high school, college, and employment
